The process of modern European integration opens up a wide range of new international opportunities for all Ukrainian communities for ongoing cooperation under a number of special European programs. However, at the moment, the available instruments are not used much in the regions due to the lack of relevant knowledge and capabilities in this area. With this in mind, the Cities4Cities|United4Ukraine initiative, with the active support of SALAR International (the Swedish-Ukrainian project “Support to Decentralization in Ukraine”), has developed an interesting online course on European Integration for Ukrainian municipalities, which lasts for 1 week.
The main topics include Cohesion Policy and European Territorial Cooperation, EU Specialized Programs to Promote Cooperation at Local Levels, EU Accession Process at the Local Community Level, Multi-level Dialogue in the EU, Green Deal and the New European Bauhaus.
The event is intended for all communities willing to move forward in the field of international cooperation. It is recommended for local government officials responsible for international cooperation.
